A “yogurt” drink that could help prevent anxiety attacks?

This might sound fanciful. However, several of the most gifted scientists
have, independently, discovered an apparent link between the health of a
person’s microbiome and their propensity for suffering from anxiety or
depression.

In other words:

Taking better care of the bacteria that live in our gut — and in other parts of
our body — might be one of the keys to treating these conditions.

Now, this discovery is EXTREMELY EXCITING.

However, right now, it is at an early stage. As I said, there are a number of
researchers, clinicians, and other scientists who are currently working to
better understand this link. But their work is highly fragmented.

Somebody needs to bring it together.

Someone needs to take a step back and look at the “wood” rather than the
“trees”, so to speak, and figure out what all this research can tell us.

Because, let’s face it…

Academia isn’t going to get behind this research, because it almost certainly
steps on the toes of large sponsors. Even if it turns out to be the find of the
century, their hands are tied by conflicts of interest.

Big Pharma won’t support it either. (“Sure, let’s put our money behind a body
of research that’s going to decimate demand for our anti-depressant drugs.
That will earn me a promotion to the C-suite!”, said no executive ever.)

Politicians won’t get behind it. They just want to blow hot air.

This leaves only people like us.

Philanthropists who are tired of waiting, who want to see REAL change in the
kind of support that’s out there for people with anxiety and depression, and
who are ready to give a small amount of money and support real action.

As you know, we’re raising funds to hire a full-time researcher.

(Or, two part-time researchers.)

A trained scientist who will be able to bring together all the disparate research
on the link between the health of our microbiomes and depression/anxiety,
make sense of it, and get the ball rolling on a new type of treatment.

There’s no time to lose.

Anxiety and depression are ravaging our communities, destroying lives.
Doctors can do nothing for most of these folks other than send them away
with pills (that, more often than not, make things worse) or platitudes.

This has to change.

But things won’t change until folks like us DO SOMETHING.

I’m putting more than $5,000 per month into this quest. However, I can’t do
this on my own. I need support from folks like you. Even if you can only give
$100, $50, or $20, please click that button below and give today.

When I first shared my idea of creating the CODEX for Anxiety and
Depression, and, specifically, hiring this researcher, many hundreds of folks
said to me: “Richard, this is an excellent idea. It’s about time someone made
all this knowledge accessible to all. Our healthcare system is decades behind
what the science says about anxiety and depression. I’m behind you!”

If all of these folks give just $25, we can get this researcher.

So, please give what you can. Every dollar counts.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
